Playing with the angles of this house, this design created a space that took advantages of the waterviews while not feeling too exposed. Inspiration was drawn from formal french gardens and incorporated the client’s requests for an area to sip tea beside a water feature. And over time, we get to see the transformation as the plants grow to maturity and fill in the space beautifully.
This is a renovation design that we worked on from conceptualization to installation and continue to maintain. Incorporating natural stones into the garden design was important as we find these stones throughout Caulfield and West Vancouver and wanted to visually represent the area. The tones of the greenery and floral choices compliment those of the house. And the site line of the plants and path bring your eye around the corner to the incredible view in front of the home.
One of our key focuses at CJ’s Gardening is blending the natural elements seamlessly into the garden design. With small space in this area, it was important to incorporate the elements naturally here.
